Yes, at every tier. Scans are always free. We believe consumers should always be able to access product information — no per-scan fees, ever.

You enter a 30-day grace period where everything continues working. After that, your account enters read-only mode. Your QR codes still work — they never return a 404. Your data is preserved and accessible if you resubscribe.

You're billed on resolvable records currently on file at billing time — products, lots, and serials where the resolver is turned on. To reduce your bill, flip the 'resolver enabled' switch off on individual records. The data stays in the catalog; it just won't resolve and won't be billed. You can also delete records outright if you want them removed from our system entirely.

Same on-file mechanic as the rest: you're billed on the EPCIS events currently retained at billing time, not on event creation. Two years of retention is included in the per-event price; events stay queryable past two years until we publish a retention rollover policy. The Free tier includes 1,000 events on file before the cap kicks in. Stripe metered billing for EPCIS is on customer pull and not yet active — we'll switch the meter on once the first paying customer asks for it; until then the soft cap and on-file count are advisory.
